I have tried to take my vaio ultrabook back to factory settings, but something went wrong. It’s going through the loop now of : preparing to recover . Then to something went wrong etc on blue screen. It won’t let me F10 or any other function on start up just goes back to preparing to recover. I have clicked through tools and advanced settings to restore and recover but it’s asking for admin password. There’s only one administrator account: me , but as I’ve not used the comp for over 18 months I’ve forgotten the password. It says if can’t use password insert recovery media.

is there a way to by pass this or can you recommend a recovery media I can download on to a usb memory stick from another computer .

Thanks
