where can i get a replacement cable that fits the camcorder to a video player so Ican watch on my TV

Looking at Page 24 of your manual, it looks like a straightforward AV Cable. You can download your manual here:-

This is a direct replacement:-

However, you may wish to change one end of this depending on your VCR/TV inputs.

It looks like the sound is mono only so, if you will need to use this cable for other stereo connections, then the stereo cable below may be a better bet and you may want to get a stereo to mono adapter to use at the camera end.

can I actually play the video from the camcorder direct to the TV? We no longer have a video player and were thinking we had to buy one
