HDR-CX 240 (MTS Video format)

Hi,

All my video that I was making were saved in MP4 format on my memory card. For some reason, the CamCorder started saving my videos now in MTS format which is a pain the a** as no video editing programme could open them for edit. Also they are too big to convert with the standard online conversion programmes..

Is there a reason why my CamCorder started saving the videos in MTS format? I don't think that the Memory card is full.. The videos are as long as the old ones which were saved by the camera automatically in MP4 format...

Hi there,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

I understand this should be the default setting to record. Can you check if the [Dual Video REC] has maybe been switched to OFF which would prevent you from recording an MP4 movie.
