Hello & welcome to the Sony Community

The short answer to your question is 'no, not officially'. Basically, Sony will only warrant safe charging from a known safe USB port, which for their purposes means an industry-standard on-board PC outlet. Personally, I've been using my phone mains USB charger for my tablet, my other phone and my headphones, without any long-term issue I can detect.

Have a look at this thread, paying particular attention to the post marked 'Solution'. The consensus seems to be that other 'known safe' outlets such as those supplied with Xperia phones and the like should work perfectly well, but Sony will not warrant the safety of this. It does seem clear quite a few Bluetooth headphones users are doing so without issue.

Maybe read a few techie articles like this one to make your mind up. Ultimately it's your call.

Are there any alternative safe ways to charge these headphones? Will be travelling without access to laptop/pc to recharge that way.
