How does a DSX M55BT car stereo connect to steering wheel controls, does it depend on car?

On line I cant see there is anything in the box but Sony says its all there.

would appreciate some advice as on line searching has drawn a blank

Hi Sealent, did you have a look at the manual yet? You can find it on the product page here. I couldn't find anything about it at first glance though. You could always contact support here too.
