Hi dfcoug,

That's strange. Do you have the soundbar connected to the ARC port? If so, can you let me know the model number of both the soundbar and your TV so I can help you figure this out?

P.S. If you have the soundbar connected to the ARC port, no optical cable is needed in this setup.

Cheers,

Tenneen9000

I have a sound bar that I use with my Sony Bravia and switched to a different input that does not support the sound bar, when I switched back to the tv a message popped up that says "Audio System has been connected. If there is no sound, connect the system to HDMI 3/ARC. I cannot get this message to go away and have tried everything, turned off the TV over night, unplugged the sound bar, unplugged my xfinity box, nothing works. How can I get this message to go away!!!!

Hi dfcoug,

Welcome to the community.

This sounds really frustrating - I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.

Thanks,
