&lt;P&gt;It depends on the damage, but the only way to find out whether a repair is uneconomical is to get it checked out by a service/repair place, and they will charge an upfront fee.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You could book it in with a Sony-approved repairer &lt;A href="https://services.sony.co.uk/supportmvc/en/repair/" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;, or ask at your local camera shop.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My fdr-ax53 fell from the tripod and is now dead. The fluid head took the damage but the Cam was obviously severely shocked. Is there any point in seaking a repair?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
