Cybershot DSC-RX100 photographs

I have just purchase the RX100. Before I purchased a memory card I took a few photographs to save to the camera. Unfortunetely, if I take a photograph on the camera with no memory card it doens't allow me to access these pictures, is there any settings I can change as to move the photographs on to the memory card or save them to the camera. At the moments I have blank boxes with a question mark and no photo.

Unfortunately there is no internal memory so you lost photos.

I'm very surpised such an expensive camera has no internal memory, it actually takes a photograph, however, no access to it after the camera goes off.

It's been a while since I've read internal memories, perhaps only in very cheap devices.
