Dual Sim: 2nd Sim Always Forced to be on GSM

When i bought the phone i checked that it can support at least two wcdma networks, one for each SIM card. However when selecting wcdma for the 2nd SIM card, it will always force the 1st SIM card to be under GSM. The same will occur if i select wcdma for the 1st SIM card, i.e. 2nd SIM card will be forced to GSM. My region has already phased out GSM/2G network and my second SIM card is purely unusable in current state with this.

Are there any workarounds and additional apps i can install to enable both my SIM card to at least use WCDMA? The dual sim settings allow me to select which SIM to use for data transfer, but it seems meaningless if 2nd SIM cannot even connect to any network. Please help...

see attached picture in my original post. it's from official online FAQ and as the sales said, it says two WCDMA can be turned on together.

if it is really only dual standby and one card needs to be 2G definitely, the sales cheated me... it renders my second sim completely unusable as our local telcos has already decommissioned 2G.

Does Sony practice complete refund due to local telcos incompatibility? it was bought through an official Sony shop with an official sales rep answering my queries...

When I called Xperia Care last time, I got response that for both the SIM to work on WCDMA simultaniuously you need both SIMs as WCDMA and Not 4G or LTE SIMs. Along with this you need to disable data completely.

All I can say that second term could be the restriction but the first term shouldn't actually be true (as every network is moving to LTE).

But you can at least give this a try.
