Full signal bar but unable to make normal call on my xperia X phone

Hi Team,

I am using Xperia X and ATLEAST once in a day my phone blocks me from making outgoing calls. 1st i get blank screen and then nothing happens, late when i close task and try calling again nothing happens. It does not even give me option to select sim from which i want to make call, this continues till i get an incoming call. I am able to do whatsup call but not normal calls. I have tried restarting phone that has never worked. i have tried to shut it down and turn it on after couple of min, sometime this works and sometime does not work either, i need to wait someone to call me only then i would be able to make calls.

@ManuS10 can you open the dialer and trying to dial the *#*#4636#*#* tap phone information and checking if voice service is "In service"? Also, what's the voice network type?

Also can you try to restart your phone in safe mode# just to see if it's a software issue.. So.. in safe mode, are you able to do/receive calls?

Hi,

I am using 64gb phone with dual sim, sim 1 s Jio Volet and sim 2 is airtel. Next time when I face same issue I note that status n Inform u People, AVG antivirus is saying modern combat 5 is infected with Virus and asking me to uninstall, which you m unable to do. Could you plz suggest.

Same thing has happened nw again, nt sure wat to do. Feeling like I did a bid mistake by purchasing dis phone, despite many tellin nt 2 buy I went with dis now repenting for the same, wat s d use of a phone when vr unable 2 make calls.????

Is there any way to give back dis phone it nt even 4 months old.

I'm unable 2 post screenshots here which I ve taken. Every bit of Sony s getting on to my nerves.

If you are using Jio SIM in Xperia X make sure you are inserting it in SIM slot 1 and keep it on LTE only mode. Also make sure VoLTE provision flag is enabled from dialing *#*#4636#*#*

As Jio is VoLTE only service if you don't enable VoLTE or if network is not set to LTE mode you will not be able to make phone calls.

I guess I'm clear in my previous reply, I ve kept Jio in sim1 slot n VOLTE s enabled, more over my SWEET phone s nt giving me option 2 select a sim to make an out going call. When it decides 2 stop me from making calls it ll first become blank black screen n then when I come back from tat screen n try 2 cal again it does nothing, irrespective of how many times I try calling, it just do nothing n ASA I gt a incoming call it ll show up sim option 2 select 2 make a out going call.

This support forum page s nt allowing me 2 post screenshots though I see tat option. Nt sure y.
