Anyone else experienced cracked screen x compact?

Hi, Today while walkng I took my phone out of my pocket when I noticed that there are two cracks uder my screen. I dd not drop the phone or anything. It was just in my pocket. It the same isue as the z5 had back when it was in the news. Now I am wondering if more people have expeirenced this with there x compact and how sony solved it, this as I am scared Sony is not going to help and claim I dropped the phone, what they did to me the last time with me z1 compact. If so its defintely the last sony for me.

Hi @davidxcompact, welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear about your cracked screen.

The screen is made of Gorilla Glass so it should not crack easily, and there's no way that I know of that can cause it to crack by itself. It is still glass though, and glass can still break.

It's possible that it is from pressure, maybe the device bent as you moved your leg or maybe you leaned on something while it was in your pocket? I can only really make assumptions as I don't know for sure.

Either way, the best advice is to contact your Local support team to arrange an assessment.

Hi, thanks for your reply. On monday I finaly had contact with the customer service, and they said that if their research shows I did not drop it, it wil be fixed for free. So I see the research with confidence. Lets hope so, the last three months have not been good months with the customer service so it would help me recover a bit of confidence.
