Greetings,

As it turned out its not really an error of the smartphone itself but a combination of unfortunate events.

I have a kind of old provider plan that only allows me to use the 3G connection. The smartphone was set to preferably connect to the 4G net, but since I don't have that in my plan it couldn't. There is a menu in the settings where you can set the preferred net. After changing that everything works.

Greetings!

Hello,

I have a little problem with my Sony Xperia X that is becoming a real nuisance.

Sometimes, very randomly, the phone loses its signal. At one moment I'm happily surfing on the internet, and the next second I have zero connection bars.

Additionally, even when I have connection to the network, the GPS acts out. I can see that on multiple apps, like Google Maps or Pokemon GO (where I sometimes jump around like a certain X-Men character).

What I have tried so far:
- Turning it (the GPS, network connectivity, the smartphone, etc.) off and on again.
- Go to my service provider and exchange the SIM card.
- Service tests > GPS > purge assitance data (and reboot the phone).
- Service tests > GPS > GPS Location Test (which just does nothing except "waiting for location update")
- Install apps like GPS Status (which often shows me that I am connexted to zero GPS satellites.

Is there anything left I can try? Since I only bought the phone about 6 months ago, I still have warranty. But I would really prefer not to have to send it in (and wait for an indefinite but probably big amount of weeks)

Kind regards and thanks in advance.
