Can't connect to VPN server using L2TP

Hi,

My Synology VPN server has accepted L2TP connections from iPhones and various Windows clients without issue.

I have just obtained a Sony Xperia X Compact but cannot get the VPN client on the phone to connect using L2TP. Both the Sony phone and the Synology NAS are running the latest OS\firmware.

Note that PPTP works fine but I don't want to use this for security reasons.

There appear to have been numerous VPN client\L2TP issues with Sony phones so is this another? Can someone please assist?

Hi, That's what I had to go for. Not quite as easy to configure but all now works well.
