Modified picture can't be used

Hi,
I have my phone since last Christmas, never dropped it, never installed anything suspicious on it. And I'm using Android 4.4.4. Just to be clear for what is next Also, as I am French, I hope the app names are the same in English.

So, I had a few issues with my phone. First one is obviously the extremely limited intern memory, but hey, who is still surprised by that, I don't install a lot of things anyway, and I have a SD card for medias.
Next issue was walkman app which randomly paused the music when I listened to it. I went to the chatroom where I was advised to reset my phone. I wasn't pleased, but I did it and it surprisingly worked !

BUT my last issue was here before reseting the device, and still is. Whenever I modify a picture with the pre-installed app to do so, I can't use it as a screensaver for example. I select the picture in Album, select the "use as unlock screensaver", then the phone asks me which app I want to use to resize the picture, and none of it work. The only advice the chat agent could give me was to reset my phone again, I politely declined.

It's not the biggest problem in the world, I mean I can download another similar app to do so. But this is why I talked about my other issues here. You buy a phone expecting everything will work on day 1 and deteriorate as time goes by. I love Xperia phones, I'll never go back to the Samsung Galaxy (and never tried Windows Phones, not a fan of iPhones). I'm just really disappointed that's all.

And hey, if anyone knows how to solve this modified picture issue, I would really appreciate it !

and see if you encounter the same problem.

You can also boot on safe mode and see if you are able to use the preinstalled apps, if you don't, the issue could be the SD card
