Unable to Schedule Recording to USB in Freeview Play App

Hi,

I have a brand new sony-bravia-kd50x72kpu and a new USB drive. The USB drive is recognised by the TV and I can record on the fly any of the channels.

What I can't do is schedule future programmes to be recorded in the Freeview play app. From what I can see online it should be possible but there seems no way to get Freeview Play to select and schedule the recording of programmes for recording at a future date.

Anyone know why this would be? Am I missing something? Is there a different app I should be using to schedule future recordings?

Hi @dbrenner

On my A95K you can only schedule a recording from the Sony TV Guide and not from the Live TV & Catchup Guide. I don’t have Freeview Play so this may be the case with yours as well. Here is the help page for your TV.
