Hi, I hope someone in the community can help as i think I've exhausted all options apart from taking it to a service centre and we all know how expensive that could be! I've tried disconnecting all the other cables attached to the tv , switching the tv on with just the mains connected, unplugging the mains and plugging it back in ,checking it works in another outlet , holding the power and volume up button on the tv simultaneously and all that happens is the white led light comes on for about 20 seconds then goes off , once the Sony logo came on 3 times but i haven't seen it since , any help will be greatly appreciated!

Is there an answer to this. My kd49x8005c has recently become a petulant beast and is now not powering at all. The drain residual electricity technique worked once but now it feels terminal. I hope it’s not. Would be really disappointed with Sony if the life span of a quality device is less than 4 years! Can anyone suggest anything else?
