Sony TV KD-55XE9005 Stand-by change since Orio update help please.

Since the update to Orio i noticed that the TV seems to shut down rather than going onto StandBy - when i was on Android 7, i use to turn TV off and go back into it no problem.

Now since Android 8 - when i turn TV on it goes through the Sony logo and Android start up logo.

I was trying to find standby settings and unable to see where to look for it so that i can let the TV to go on standby rather than shut down it seems to be happening a lot.

Any ideas from anyone and thanks in advance

Hi @benpanis

A factory data reset often cures these type of glitches. Clearly it shouldn’t be turning off when you put the TV into standby.

Good morning,

Thank you for the answer however i tried the soft reset and full factory reset.

What happens is in more detail if I turn the TV off from the remote - and lets say i go back within a few hours - it will switch on normally - however - overnight - or after a works day - when i go back to the TV on will go through again the whole Sony logo - Android logo and Android colour design which is a little frustrating

Not sure if it is a eco setting maybe even when on Standby the TV shuts down?

Any more suggestions would be appreciated
