They should not have touched the screen. Call John Lewis and ask for a replacement.

Hi @lumsdale1 You should be able to find the instructions in the manual, normally within the first 10 pages “Handling and cleaning the screen surface”. If you let us know the exact model number of the TV (starts with KD) we could tell you the exact page.

I'd use a soft damp cloth there are screen cleaning wipes available. Above all do not apply pressure

Something the OP cannot now be sure the John Lewis delivery men did not do, hence my comment above.
