No picture or sound

Hi I have a Sony Bravia tv model No. KDL-43W809C and i have received an error message Sorry no Sony information data. I had to turn the tv off to clear the message now there is no power light on the tv and it will not turn on again. Any ideas.

Have you tried disconnecting from the power supply for a few minutes?

Tv is now at a Sony repair centre and needs a new part. As yet I don't know what part it is or how much it will cost. I wll post when I have more details.
