Recording failure

Please help! I have an external hard drive for recording which up to now has worked. But for the last two weeks I'm getting this error message in Recording Error List "Event could not be recorded. Conflicts with another timer recording or end time has passed."

No other recording has been set and I am choosing my programme in advance and hitting the record button.

If this has worked in the past (and so you know how it all works and are familiar with it), and now it doesn't then the first thing I would try would be a 'soft' reset, usually done by holding down the power button on the remote until the TV reboots.

If that doesn't work then I would try deregistering and registering the drive and try again.

If still no good then try a full factory reset of the TV (always the last option although many seem to suggest it as a first step) and see if the drive can be set up and if it works OK.
