Sony KD 55XD8599 bought 2017 Marshmellow update?

Hi all

Could anyone please confirm one way or other will the new marshmellow 6.0 update remove all my already added apps, i.e ES explorer, Kodi, sideloader etc.?

Can you just keep using the exsisting Lollipop software?

There does seem to be issues about the update on the forum regarding this marshmellow update.

Hi there

All apps will stay on the TV. Only upon choosing to do a factory reset will the apps be removed. Only a handful of complaints thus far in regards to Marshmallow - obviously there are some general bugs - see HERE (its relatively upto date, although a couple I need to update at some point).
