Have just got my new TV and cannot get my theatre system to work. It is a Panasonic and cannot get any sound through either scart or HDMI connections to the TV. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cannot spare the cash to replace it at this time. Thanks in advance.

If your Panasonic doesn't support ARC forget HDMI.

Scart...... I'm not sure that it has output function. But since that is analog any way, you can use headphones output for that.

And what about optical? Do you have optical input on your panasonic?

The Panasonic does support ARC and the TV appears to "find" the theatre system because it selects the external speakers over the TV's own - but there is no sound from the Panasonic. When the HDMI is in the 3/ARC the TV displays "Audio System Active" but I am not getting any soundwhen using either of the other HDMIs which have Sky HD & Android Box.

Hi there

Can you please list the model number of the Panasonic system - as you can imagine, we can only 'guess' without having accurate information.

Cheers
