Lip Sync issues via HDMI to Soundbar-ok via Optical

I am new to this forum.

I have a Sony Bravia KD-43XD8077 TV and a Sony HT-CT390 Soundbar.

When on SkyQ TV and using the soundbar via ARC HDMI, there is a perceptible Lip Sync issue which is not there via the TV speakers and is not there when connected via the Optical lead.

Is there anything that can be done, eg going for a higher spec HDMI cable, or is this just the way it is?

Any advice welcomed.

Hi there

This is not the first time I have heard of lip sync issues with the HT-CT390 soundbar. The manual unhelpfully provides this :

With no mention on what to do if this occurs. I also cannot see any settings that you can change either to help or rectify this problem.

I am escalating this topic to Sony Support for assistance. They will probably contact you in the next couple of days - also, if I hear anything, ill post back too.
